WebbThe Provincial Parks Act provides for designation of lands to be managed under the Act that are not established as parks/protected areas. These lands are 'declared' under the Provincial Parks (Section 7 Declaration) Regulation, and are legally described in Schedules to the Regulation. WebbThe purpose of the present Act is to ensure the protection of provincial parks in Ontario. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein, such as, for example, “assistant superintendent”, “conservation officer”, “district manager”, “management plan”, “provincial park”, “public lands”.
