In Acute Trusts use the local Trust guidance published via the MicroguideTM website and Smartphone app. Webguidelines in Acutecirculation across the North East and Cumbria, all based on the PHE management of infection guidance, many of which had expired or were due for review in 2014. A comprehensive review of all the guidelines found they were all very similar to one another which led to the concept of the development of a single regional guideline.
