Findochty beach
WebFindochty has a selection of beaches all within a short stroll from Findochty. This is a nice location to explore the rocky coastline and possibly spot Moray Firth dolphins. The small beaches sit to the west and east of the village, either side of the small harbour. WebFindochty (pronounced “Finechty”) traces its history back to a royal charter in the mid 15thC. In the early 18thC, the local landowner developed the beginnings of a fishing industry, and by 1850 it was home to around 150 fishing boats.
